Thanksgiving Fun

Gathering with family and friends is always fun on Thanksgiving, not to mention all the yummy food! But the most fun of all is all the crazy pictures. Evan has never been much of a photo lover so usually we have to coax him even to get a few snaps!

He's not really cross eyed...he just likes to do stuff like that to mess up my pictures!

He thinks it's funny!

Hmmm....Matt's not much better!

Highlighting November 2014

Veteran's Day: November 11th 2014 at Warrior Ridge Elementary. There was a special breakfast at Evan's school so he invited Grandpa.  After the breakfast the students sang patriotic songs and songs of thanks to the men and women who serve(ed) our country.

Evan is in scouts and they did a food drive called "Scouting for Food". This drive helps a local food pantry fill their shelves with food for people in need. Here is Evan at Barb and Cresia's house collecting donations.

Snow.....we got our first snowfall in November so I wonder if that means to prepare for a cold snowy winter?  Evan looks a little scary in his ski mask but he does enjoy playing in the snow!

He even managed to slide down the hill!

Snow creature Evan.

There's plenty more going on in November so I'll be back with more November fun!

Funny Things

Some of the elves 2012

Every year Santa's Elves come to spend Christmas at our house. Evan's elf Ben is the second one from the right. One year we had over 20 elves descend upon us! Wow that was a crazy elfish year!
This year I was telling Evan that all of the elves might not come but just some of them. The conversation went something like this:

Me: Evan I'm not sure Santa is going to send ALL the elves to our house this year.
Evan: But he will send Ben
Me: Yes, of course Ben will come but I hear there's a shortage of elves this year.
Evan (waving his hands and being agitated) Wait a minute, hold on, How did they get electrocuted?
ME: (laughing) And when I stopped... I explained the difference between an "electrical short" and a "shortage."

Evan's 8th Birthday!

Happy Birthday Evan!

Katie took this picture before school on Evan's 8th birthday (where does time go?)  She also put a little present in his lunch box to surprise him at lunch.

When I picked him up from school (it was an early out) I sang the song my mom used to always sing which was "Today is a birthday I wonder for whom"  He "tolerated it".

Evan's birthday party is coming up on Sunday but you have to have gifts on your actual birthday, right?  This is from Grandma and Grandpa!  He got lots of other "actual" birthday gifts too.

Game from mom and.........

A new stunt bike!!

A BB gun from Matt

Mom and Matt took Evan out to dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings. Evan loves the chicken strips!

Evan got a little cake for his "actual" birthday. What a great day for my best boy!!

I love you Evan!!
